About Cardiac Analysis

The Cardiac Analysis application lets you view various phases of the heart, view the heart axis images, and prepare images for additional processing.

Cardiac Analysis launches the Cardiac Phase Viewer, which lets you access the various cardiac analysis tools such as coronary analysis, cardiac cine, and so on. Cardiac Cine lets you create a simulated volume-rendered heartbeat that lets you study the external wall motion of the heart.

NOTE: The Cardiac Analysis application is available only if your profile has a license to use it.

MPR patient analysis uses coronary, axial, and sagittal images. When dealing with the heart, the images use different axes called short axis, long axis, and four chamber view.

By default, Cardiac Analysis data appears as one group in the Cardiac Phase Viewer. The basic Cardiac Analysis view has two main parts and displays reference images and result images.

Cardiac Analysis View Type

Description

Reference images

  • Display as Axial, Sagittal, and Coronal views.

or

  • Display as Four Chamber, Short Axis, and Long Axis views.

You can view either the first group or the second group, but they cannot be mixed.

Result images

Display as the reconstructed cross-section images resulting from cutting volumes in a certain plane. You can configure the number of result images that display.
