Adding a Cobb Angle

You can measure spinal curvature according to the Cobb method. Click on the drop-down menu to choose a single Cobb angle or multiple consecutive angles.

1.  From the Viewer, select an image.

2.  In the Graphics tab of the toolbar, click Cobb Angle Measurement in the Othopedic Measurements ribbon.

3.  Click on the image where you want the first line to start.

4.  Drag the line to the vertebrae.

5.  Click the mouse button.

NOTE: You can invert the image with the Window tool to get an accurate horizontal line to the vertebrae.

Move the line without affecting its integrity by using the center of the line and dragging, or tilt the line by clicking and dragging either end.

6.  Repeat the move with the second line on another vertebra that you want to measure for the curvature.

NOTE: More than one set of Cobb angles may be needed. These sets are labeled differently so you can distinguish between them.
