Changing the Slice Thickness and Spacing

You can change the width and spacing of the cross-section slices on the result images. When you change the slice spacing, the change appears in the result images and in the cross-sections on the reference images.

To change the slice thickness and spacing manually:

1.  From the MPR toolbar, click MPR Options .

2.  Select Parameters from the drop-down menu.

The MPR Parameters dialog box appears.

3.  Choose the rendition type.

4.  Click the arrows to select the thickness for each of the rendition types.

5.  To save the thickness of the MipPR and MinPR rendition types as defaults, select the Save these values as defaults check box.

6.  In the Spacing field, click the arrows to select the value for the spacing.

7.  Click OK.

The calculation in the SW (Slice Width) annotation for each image changes to reflect the current slice thickness.

The change appears in the result images and the cross-sections on the reference images.

To change the slice thickness dynamically:

1.  On the result image, place the cursor over the SW (Slice Width) annotation.

The cursor changes to a box with the word Thick.

2.  Click and drag the cursor up or down to increase or decrease the slice thickness.

The calculation in the SW (Slice Width) annotation for each image changes to reflect the current slice thickness.

To change the slice spacing dynamically:

1.  On any of the reference images, click on the edge of a cross-section line and hold down the Shift key.

2.  Click and drag the cursor up or down to increase or decrease the spacing of the slices.

The change appears in the result images and the cross-sections on the reference images.

NOTE: You can adjust the line spacing by dragging the cross-section line to the required position with the mouse. This is relevant for increasing and decreasing and also for rotating the cross-section line.
