Manipulating 3D Images

You can use the 3D tab tools to perform different manipulations to provide a more precise and accurate view of the acquired volume.

Do this:

Swivel (rotate)

You can swivel (rotate) the image in any direction so you can view the image from different angles.

1.  From the toolbar, click Swivel .

2.  Drag the mouse to swivel the image.

Use the drop-down menu to the right of the Swivel icon to reset the image to an Inferior, Superior, Anterior, Posterior, left or right view and to flip the display.

Roll

You can roll the image from side to side.

1.  From the toolbar, click Roll .

2.  Drag the mouse to roll the image from side to side.

Relate

You can cross-reference a particular point on a MIP (result) image with its relevant location on the MPR reference image.

1.  From the toolbar, click Relate .

2.  Click the MIP image where you want to place the reference point.

NOTE: This option is only available when all four images are displayed on screen at the same time.

Reset the orientation

You can reset the image to its original orientation.

Right-click the orientation box on the lower-left, then select the option you want (Inferior, Superior, Anterior, Posterior), or use the drop-down of the Swivel tool.

Show hidden frames

You can show or hide specific frames.

1.  From the toolbar, click Show or Hide Frames .

2.  Click the frames to be shown/hidden.

NOTE: You can toggle between swiveling and rolling by holding down the Shift key while dragging the mouse.
