Tracing Vessels

Trace a vessel using the General Vessel Protocol

When tracking a vessel other than the aorta, carotid, or coronary, use the general automatic vessel tracking protocol.

1.  Click Define New Vessel .

2.  Select General Vessel Protocol.

3.  Click points along the vessel to trace its path.

4.  Click Done .

Trace a path manually using the MIP image

1.  Click Define New Vessel .

2.  Select Manual Protocol.

3.  Click points along the vessel to trace the path on the MIP image.

4.  Click Done .

Trace a path manually using the MPR reference images

1.  Click Define New Vessel .

2.  Select Manual Protocol.

3.  Click points on any of the MPR reference images.

4.  Click Done .

You can scroll through the MPR image between points, but all points must be placed on the same reference plane.

Cancel the creation of a vessel

  • Click Exit in the Protocol dialog box.

Delete the last point

You can remove the last point you clicked on a vessel path.

  • Click Delete Last Point in the Protocol dialog box.

Reset

You can cancel all points marked on a vessel path and stay in the same dialog box to define a new vessel.

  • Click in the Protocol dialog box.

NOTE: If segmented vessels already exist in the selected phase, the application reverts to the 2x2 layout. The VolR image shows the defined vessel/s as well as the new vessel that is being segmented.

Once you mark the points, they are joined to the vessels that existed previously.

You can view vessels that were segmented in different phases by scrolling to the relevant phase, or by clicking the Vessels menu and then selecting the phase from the Vessels drop-down menu.
