The MPR view displays in the Viewer window. The viewbox of the MPR view is divided into reference images and result images.
Reference Images
Reference images show the scanned volume in the axial, sagittal, and coronal views. Each reference image contains the following:
Default MPR Cross-Sections: Each set of crossed horizontal and vertical cross-section lines correlate to the common orientation point in the other two reference images for the currently displayed cross-section slices in the result images. You can manipulate these cross-sections to show different cross-section slices.
MPR Cross-Sections: These additional cross-sections correspond directly to the data that appears in the result images, depending on the selected layout, as follows:
If only one result image displays, only the one relevant cross-section appears in the relevant reference images.
If four or more result images display, only the first, active, middle, and last cross-sections appear on the reference images.
These cross-sections can be moved or rotated simultaneously to show different cross-section and curved cross-section slices of data in the result images.
Result Images
Result images show the reconstructed MPR cross-sections that result from cutting volumes in certain planes on the reference images. Result images correspond directly to the cross-sections on the reference images. The number of result images depends on the layout you select.
