Worklist Folder

A worklist folder is a pre-configured folder that represents work to be completed. A worklist provides special options designed to streamline your work. Each worklist folder contains a list of status levels that are a series of steps that a study goes through until completion.

Worklist folders differ from the other folders within the Archive Explorer in that once a study is accepted, the next study in the worklist automatically appears.

Like other folders in the Archive Explorer, when you finish reading a study in the worklist folder, the Vue PACS Client automatically selects the next study in the worklist for display.

The Vue PACS Client keeps track of the worklist from which the study was selected and the position of the study within the worklist. You can use the Viewer to move from one study to the next within the worklist. When you are not working within a worklist, the Archive Explorer automatically appears after a study is accepted.

NOTE: If a lock indicator appears next to a study on the worklist, another user has that study open. You can still load the study for viewing, but you cannot make any modifications. If someone loaded the study since you opened the Archive Explorer, you may not see the lock indicator until you refresh your display.

You can customize worklists to fit your specific needs. Worklists can be configured according to modality, physician name, date, priority, or any other valid field in the Vue PACS Client. For example, if you have a worklist that contains a CT chest folder, the worklist can be configured to automatically display the relevant data.

NOTE: Worklist configuration depends on the workflow of each site. For more information, see the system administrator.
