About Worklists

Worklists provide special options designed to streamline your workload. A Worklist folder represents work to be completed and contains a list of status levels, which are steps through which a study passes until completion. For more information about your worklist configuration, contact the system administrator.

Worklist folders differ from the other general folders within the Archive Explorer in that once a study is accepted, the next study in the worklist automatically appears. They are similar in that when the user is finished reading a study in the Worklist folder, the Vue PACS Client automatically assigns that study the next status.

The Vue PACS Client automatically keeps track of the worklist from which a study was selected and the position of the study within the worklist. The number of studies still to be reviewed by you and any other reviewers using the worklist is indicated. This number is updated each time you move to a different study. You move from one study to the next within the worklist directly from the Viewer.

NOTE: When you are not working within a worklist, the Archive Explorer appears automatically after a study is accepted.

Worklists can be customized to fit a user's specific needs. They can be configured according to modality, physician name, date, priority, or any other field that is accessible to the Vue PACS Client. For example, if a worklist contains a CT head folder, it can be configured to automatically display the relevant data.
