Defining and Marking Occlusions

If Vessel Tracking does not find the correct path between two points due to an occlusion, you can mark the occlusion and fix the vessel. You can mark occlusions as part of the process of segmenting the vessel for the first time or as part of the process of fixing the segmented vessel.

Occlusion points are marked on the active line. You must be standing on the correct line in order to define the occlusion. For example, if you mark the bifurcation point as the start of the occlusion, it will be marked on both vessels (left iliac and right iliac).

1.  Press Ctrl and click a starting point on the reference image.

2.  Select the next protocol or extra point to define the end-point of the occlusion.

When the vessel is calculated or recalculated, a line is drawn along the occluded part of the vessel.

NOTE: You can mark two or more occlusion points on an image. The more points you mark, the more accurate the vessel calculation will be.
