Tracing Carotid Arteries Using the Neck Protocol

The Neck Protocol is specifically designed for tracing images of the carotid arteries in the neck.

NOTE: The procedure for using the neck protocol is the same as for the General Protocol, though the calculation is different, enabling better segmentation of neck vessels.

1.  In the Archive Explorer, right-click the study you want to view, select Load To, then select Vessel Analysis.

By default the study is displayed in a 2x2 layout with an angiography MIP or volume rendering image and three reference images.

2.  In the Vessel Analysis toolbar, click New Vessel New vessel.

3.  Select Neck Protocol.

Mark Point appears on the toolbar. You must select Mark Point each time you want to add new points.

4.  Place the points and the occlusion points on the vessel in the required location.

5.  Click Done .

The vessel is calculated and the path is displayed.
