Display Option: Compare with Prior

The Compare with Prior display option provides 2x3 and 2x4 layouts. You can view three datasets of two studies. All the datasets are shown in the same orientation. The default display includes an axial PET, an axial CT, and an Axial Fusion image.

NOTE: The three-dimensional image is not supported in the Compare with Prior display option.

Common Scenarios for Using Compare with Prior

Compare PET/CT Current and PET/CT Prior in all three datasets.
Compare the three datasets of same study in two windowing levels or two color maps.
Compare any set of two/three series of one study with another study.

Exceptions and Behaviors

Orientation

Each column of MPR images shows a single orientation. The same column cannot mix different orientations.

You cannot view registered datasets in different orientations simultaneously. Each column of registered MPR images is synchronized when you change the orientation.

You can view unregistered datasets in different orientations simultaneously. Because the MPR windows are not synchronized, you can control the orientation in each window separately.

Parameters

The three MPR windows are linked by default. You can scroll the images simultaneously.

The Zoom and Pan parameters are synchronized between the MPR windows.

The Windowing parameter is not synchronized between the MPR windows; however, the fusion image is affected by PET/CT windowing changes.

You cannot scroll across an orientation for a registered dataset individually. The parameters are synchronized.

The three-dimension image is not supported.

You can change the dataset by using the Replace With annotation or the PMA. Each dataset replacement affects the windows belonging to the row that you selected. The other rows are not affected.

Relate Mode

You can use Relate Mode to relate all datasets. See Correlating Regions of Interest in Registered Studies (Relate Mode).
