Printing Images to Film

Send images to the Film Preview

1.  From the PowerViewer, select the images you want to send to the Film Preview.

2.  Click Film .

Open Film Preview

  • From the PowerViewer toolbar, click Film Preview .

You work with images in the Film Preview in the same way as in the PowerViewer. Scroll through the images in the Film Preview page by page, where each page is numbered x/y.

Clear images from Film Previewer

1.  Click Film Preview and select the image(s) you want to clear.

You can select multiple images by holding down the Ctrl or Shift key while selecting.

2.  From the PowerViewer toolbar, click one of the following.

  • Clear Selected Images .

  • Clear Current Page  to clear all the images in the current page.

  • Clear All Images  to clear all the images in the Film Previewer.

Adjust the font size

  • From the PowerViewer toolbar, click to increase the font size.

  • From the PowerViewer toolbar, click to decrease the font size.

Determine the film layout and printing issues

1.  Click Film Preview .

2.  Click Film Layout .

A list of default layout options appears.

3.  Select Portrait or Landscape.

4.  Select a film layout.

Images sent to the Film Preview appear in sequential order (left to right, from top to bottom). If there is more than one page, each page has the same layout.

NOTE: For a custom layout, click Custom and create a layout in the Print Layout window grid.

5.  You can move images from one location to another within the Film Preview.

When you send additional images to be printed, images are always added to the last page, even if there are spaces on previous pages.

By default, headers and footers are displayed. You can remove headers and/or footers in the Film Preview by deselecting the Header and Footer option in the View menu.

NOTE: Adding headers and footers decreases the image space on the page. By default, all DICOM tags that are consistent between images appear in the header.

6.  From the PowerViewer toolbar, click Print .

7.  Click Settings in the Print dialog box.

8.  Select the desired printer settings.

9.  Click OK.

10. Select the printer and job priority.

11. Click OK.

The images print according to the layout and settings you selected.
