Important: Review the information in Understanding the Results for Save As DP before you perform the procedure for Save as DP.
You can organize a window as required, then save that layout as a display protocol to be used at a later date for other images.
NOTE: If your user profile has administrative privileges, the locking mechanism is activated while you are saving the viewing options as a display protocol, blocking other users from using this feature at the same time.
1. Prepare the screen to be saved as a display protocol.
2. From the DP menu, choose Save as DP.
The Save As DP Editor opens.
3. In the Save Changes section, select whether you are making the changes to the current display protocol, or saving a new display protocol.
If you choose the new display protocol option, enter the name of the protocol in the Name field.
NOTE: If you are making changes to an existing display protocol, its name is displayed next to the To Current DP option. If you do not have permission to make changes to the current display protocol, the name is not displayed, and you must enter a new display protocol name for it so that you do not overwrite the existing display protocol.
4. If you want to apply the changes to history data, mark the check box accordingly.
5. Define the display protocol level.
NOTE: This option depends on the permissions of your user profile.
6. Click Next.
7. Choose the studies to apply the display protocol.
Studies that match initial definition: Applies the display protocol to studies that have an identical definition. If you choose this option, the remaining options are grayed out.
Studies with: Lets you select more specific options for the condition.
Same modality.
Contains body part. Enter a value. By default, this field contains the body part defined for the current study.
Contains study description. Enter a value. By default, this field contains the study description defined for the current study.
Studies that match custom definition: Applies the display protocol to studies that match a customized definition, which can be edited in the same way as the Display Protocol Editor. See Using the Editor to Create Display Protocols.
NOTE: When the display protocol is applied, the mechanism uses the Body Parts synonym when displaying the images. See the system administrator for assistance.
8. Click Next.
9. Identify the groups according to one of the following:
Current Criteria: If you are satisfied with the current display. It takes the current layout but uses the existing group.
Selected properties: You can indicate which tags are imported when you create groups. The more items you select, the more specific the group displayed.
10. Click Finish to save the display protocol.
