The Save as DP Wizard and Display Protocol Editor let you define display protocols used to customize the presentation of studies on the Vue PACS Client. You can build a display protocol bank, which stores all relevant display protocols for a particular user. Anytime you load a study, it loads according to the display protocol that best fits the study parameters.
NOTE: Additional training is required in order to create the display protocols. It is recommended that you use the Save As DP Wizard. For more information about creating display protocols, see the system administrator.
Display protocols let you customize the:
General layout of the application.
Criteria for determining which groups are displayed and where.
Criteria for determining if prior studies are to be loaded.
Default group manipulation such as window level, zoom, orientation, and so on.
Application types used to display data such as PowerViewer, MPR, 3D, and so on.
Interactions between groups of images, such as linking groups or showing reference lines.
Different modalities typically contain different formats. For example, a CT abdomen scan usually contains two groups of images: the Localizer image and the axial slices. An MRI might have five or six groups of images, according to the sequence and body position.
The Vue PACS Client lets you load a patient's previous history. You can specify which modalities and body parts to load from the patient history. You can also specify how these studies are placed on the screen layout.
