Creating a New Vessel

1.  On the Vessel Analysis toolbar, click New Vessel .

The list of protocols is displayed (Aorta, General Vessel, Neck, and Manual).

2.  Select the required protocol type.

3.  Follow the instructions for how to trace a vessel using each protocol option:

• Aorta Protocol (see Tracing the Aorta and Iliac Arteries).

• General Vessel Protocol (see Tracing Vessels).

• Neck Protocol (see Tracing Carotid Arteries Using the Neck Protocol). This protocol is specifically designed for images of the neck.

• Manual Protocol (see Tracing Vessels Manually).

In each case, you should define the start, intermediate, and end points for the vessel tracking.
